Penn State Rhapsody Series "Resonant Images"

THIS SUNDAY! Join double bass professor Patricia Weitzel and pianist Seulki Yoo for an unforgettable afternoon of music, imagery, and inspiration. This unique program takes audiences on a journey around the world through a vibrant selection of works that reflect diverse musical landscapes and cultures. With original video projections by Professor Curtis Craig, the performance transforms the traditional recital experience into a rich and immersive exploration of the relationship between sound and image.

From lyrical melodies to rhythmically charged passages, each piece tells its own story, inviting listeners to hear music not just with their ears but to see it as well. Blending artistry, innovation, and imagination, this recital offers a fresh and engaging perspective on how music connects us across borders and beyond sound.

Presented as part of the Penn State School of Music’s free Rhapsody Series, these recitals offer audiences an hour of immersive music-making that highlights the artistry of Penn State faculty and their collaborators. Like every performance in the series, they are built around a central theme, weaving together diverse voices and styles. Admission is free, and gifts to the School of Music scholarship fund are warmly encouraged to support the next generation of musicians -- the link to give is below!
